Generations Homecare System Introduces New Sandata Interface for Homecare Providers in Indiana

The comprehensive homecare system enables homecare providers in Indiana to seamlessly bill Medicaid.

Mt. Pleasant, MI, December 22, 2020 – Today, Generations Homecare System announced its Sandata interface for homecare providers that bill Medicaid in the state of Indiana. Generations clients in Indiana can now bill Medicaid ahead of the “soft” electronic visit verification (EVV) implementation date of January 1, 2021.

Agencies in Indiana that use Generations will benefit from the fact that Generations has existing interfaces with Sandata in other states. Agencies that use software providers that do not yet interface with Sandata will be charged a fee to bill Medicaid in the state of Indiana.

“With the new Sandata integration we’ve built, we make it possible for agencies in Indiana to seamlessly bill Medicaid and be in compliance with the new EVV requirements. We are delighted to be adding to Generations’ ever-growing list of integrations with this latest EVV solution,” stated Lance Ferden, Generations Homecare System Co-Founder and Chief Technical Officer.

Benefits of the new functionality include the following:

  • HIPAA compliance
  • Accurate records and billing exports under Indiana’s new regulatory requirements
  • A simplified reimbursement process using fully integrated EVV

What’s more, the in-app electronic and voice signature functionality that exists in the Generations Mobile App can limit office visits, thus reducing the chance for infection during public health events such as the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We hear regularly from Generations clients and caregivers that the secure Generations Mobile App assists them in delivering exceptional care day in and day out. The new interface for Indiana is an extension of that, as caregivers will use the App to electronically verify visits in real time and agency administrators will use that information to submit claims for reimbursement in real time,” explained Lisa Ferden, Generations Homecare System Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer.
